Grass Fed Bison Bulk Orders

For bulk orders, as mentioned on our What We Do page, we sell our animals "on hoof" or as live animals. This means that the customer buys their animal, or their portion of the animal (quarter or half) live, and the pricing of the animal is determined upon the hanging weight (before cutting, after the removal of the hide, head, legs, and entrails) of the animal. 

Ordering

To place a Bulk Order please contact us through a call or an email. This gives us the opportunity to communicate one on one with you and get you an order that is exactly what you want.

Pricing & Payment

The total price of the animal is determined by the animal's hanging weight and the price per lb + cutting & wrapping per lb.

  • Cutting & Wrapping- $0.84 per lb for quarters, $0.79 per lb for half/whole

  • Quarter- $6.50 per lb ($7.34 per lb including cutting & wrapping)

  • Half & Whole- $6.00 per lb ($6.79 per lb including cutting & wrapping)

A non-refundable deposit is required upon placing your order (deposits are listed below) This allows you to reserve your animal. After the animal is processed, you will be contacted with the remaining balance of your order. Cash, check, and credit card (3.5%transaction fee) are all acceptable deposit payment options.

  • Quarter- $300.00

  • Half- $600.00

  • Whole- $1,200.00

The remaining balance is determined as follows:

  • Total price of the animal + delivery fee($150 on all delivered orders)- deposit

You may pay your remaining balance upon delivery or prior to delivery. Remaining balance payment options:

  • Cash/Cashiers Check- upon delivery only

  • Credit Card (3.5% transaction fee)- prior to or upon delivery only

  • Personal Checks- prior to delivery only

  • Square (3.5% transaction fee)- prior to or upon delivery

The following is an example of the pricing for a quarter, half, and whole order for an animal with a hanging weight of 500 lbs.

Option A provides the buyer with the maximum amount of cuts, as well as a smaller amount of burger. This is a great option for someone that is looking for a large variety in their order.

Option C provides the buyer with a variety of steaks, one roast, and a good amount of burger.This is a good option for someone that wants a good amount of burger and smaller variety.

Option D provides the buyer with the best steaks from the animal and a large amount of burger This is a great option for someone that wants to keep it simple with great steaks and lots of burger.
  • All boneless cutting will yield approximately 70% of the hanging weight.

  • Trim and all cuts in unchecked boxes listed in the table above will be ground for burger.

  • Orders with “Round Steak” (Options A, B, or C) will have the option of having their Round Steaks cubed, plain, or half & half you will specify choice upon ordering.

  • Soup/Dog Bones are optional with your order. If you would like to include these in your order you will specify upon ordering.

  • HALF & WHOLE ORDERS ONLY- In addition to the options listed above, we offer custom cutting orders. If you choose this option, you will speak directly with the butcher after you have placed your order through Stangel Bison Ranch.

  • QUARTERS- As there is one Tri Tip per half, quarters will receive a Tri Tip or a Chuck Eye, which is a comparable size and quality of meat.

Delivery

The butchering process will begin in November and continue throughout the Winter and Spring months. Delivery dates will be determined after a butcher date is established for specific orders.

If we have another area that we have a large customer base we are willing to establish another delivery point. If you would like a delivery point closer to you, help us spread the word about our delicious product!

Delivery Fee is $150.00 for all orders.

It is always an option for you to pick-up your order where our ranch is located in Enterprise, Oregon (or in Wallowa, Oregon at Valley Meat Service). If you choose to do this, not only will that eliminate your delivery fee, but you will get the opportunity to see the beautiful area where these animals are raised!
