Directions
Heat your cooking vessel-
Pan Frying- Medium, medium/high heat
Grilling- Medium hot coals/temperature
As the ground is very lean, here are a couple tips to help the patties stick together better:
Knead burger for 1-2 minutes, you will see consistency slightly change. This helps the burger hold together better.
Press the ground FIRMLY together, a patty press is suggested
Mix an egg into the ground prior to pressing into patties. Eggs are a binding agent.
Shape into 3-4, 1/2 inch thick patties and season. Seasoning can be added during the patty forming stage if preferred.
Place patties in/on your pan or grill, turning once when juices appear on the topside of the patty.
Cook until medium or medium rare depending on your personal preference.
Place into each patty into a toasted bun, top with your favorite condiments/toppings and enjoy!
